JHS will be on site with 4-6 dogs who are ready to find their fur-ever home for the holidays ♥ Information about each dog will be available that week. Please bring $20 for rabies tag, ID, and a collar/leash to take your new family member home; adoption fees will be waived.

If this your dogs first visit to Kanine Social, please use the ticket link to create an account for you and your dog. All dog must have proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and distemper for admission into the park. All dogs over 6 months must be spayed/neutered.

Painting with a Twist will be at JHS on Sat. 12/1 from 2 to 5 p.m. for a unique experience to benefit JHS. Enjoy a painting class taught by professionals and leave with a portrait of your beloved pet. You’ll also get to meet some of our dogs available for adoption and perhaps a puppy or two!
Proceeds from the event will go directly to JHS to provide compassionate care to animals in our community.
You must send in the picture of your pet when you register. If you are unable to send the picture in time or if you do not have a pet, you can paint a portrait of one of our JHS pets waiting for a home.
This is a family-friendly event and alcohol is not permitted, but mocktails will be available!
Join JHS at Hamburger Mary’s for Charity Bingo! All proceeds go to JHS. We will have fun prizes and a raffle. Hosted by Karissa Wade, this is an event not to miss. Seats go fast, please call (904) 551-2048 for reservations.
Our 9 a.m. service will take place in Cathedral Park (if it’s raining the service and blessing will be held in the Cathedral) and is where we invite you to bring your animals to be blessed as we celebrate St. Francis of Assisi. We are partnering with the Jacksonville Humane Society this year!

Subaru Loves Pets – Free Adoption Weekend!
Join JHS at Subaru of Jacksonville for free pet adoptions, thanks to the ASPCA and Subaru of America, Inc. ‘s Subaru Loves Pet promotion.
The Jacksonville Humane Society will have adoptable pets waiting to meet families at 10800 Atlantic Blvd. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th.

Join JHS for a yoga session at our brand new Adoption, Education and Community Resource Center on Friday, September 28th at 5:45 p.m. Lead by certified instructor, Beth Jordan, this course welcomes all skill levels. Special guests will include adoptable cats and kittens from the Jacksonville Humane Society!

Camp at the Jacksonville Humane Society presents “BACK to DROOL” for children in grades K-8. Children will have fun learning all about pets in our brand new Adoption, Education and Community Resource Center.
Campers will have a blast helping our pets have a “day at school”. We will practice our Pawsitive Reading, learn clicker training, pack the pets a tasty lunch, have recess with a dog or two and so much more!

Cost: $50
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (extended care available for additional $20)
Drop off is from 8:45 – 9:00 a.m. and pick up is from 4:00 – 4:15 p.m. Extended care must be arranged in advance.
Extended care is available beginning at 7:45 a.m. and ending at 5:15 p.m. for an additional $20 flat fee with any enrollment.
All first-time campers will receive a free book, courtesy of The Jim Moran Foundation, while supplies last.
One snack provided. Campers are asked to bring a water bottle and a lunch.
