Blessing of the Animals Service

Let the animals come – the dogs and cats, birds and rabbits, chickens and fish! Invite your neighbors and friends to join you for this very special service on Sunday, October 21 at 5 pm in the Oasis Garden.

It’s a celebration of the love we share with our pets and a blessing in celebration of St. Francis. St. Francis of Assisi is known as the patron saint of animals and the environment. All types of pets are welcome. *All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be in a carrier to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of our friends. Those who may have lost a pet are invited to bring a photo as we remember those who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

We ask that each of you bring pet food as an offering, which will be donated to Jacksonville Humane Society. All pets will receive an engraved tag to commemorate this very special day and their blessing!

Questions? Connect with Holly at (904) 246-6427.

*Regular morning services will be held at 8:30 and 11 am in the Sanctuary.*

Pet CPR and First Aid Class – Swamp Haven Fundraiser

Are you prepared to be your pet’s first responder? When humans have a medical emergency, we can call 911 and help comes to us. We do not have that same service available for our pets, so we must know how to react quickly in order to stabilize our pet until veterinary help is available. When every second counts, that is not the time to turn to YouTube and hope that what we are watching is even accurate. In this pet CPR and first aid class, you will learn how to calmly and confidently handle any pet emergency (choking, bleeding, heat stroke, seizures, etc.). Each student receives a booklet of the information covered and a certificate suitable for framing.

***$25 will be donated to Swamp Haven for each student in attendance.***
